On a 2017 E-450 motorhome chassis, is there an easy hack to get the lights to come on automatically when starting?
As many overseas countries require this, I'm hoping Ford has built an easy way to accomplish this into the truck.
From what I've found online there is a way to enable the front parking lights with Forscan but I'm wanting headlights, tail, and markers.
Anyone know? Thanks!

Did you try leaving them on? In some Toyotas you leave the light switch on, turn off the engine, pull the key, close the driver door, the lights turn off in 20 seconds (dome light in 10).
I don't know about on while starting, but Canada has required daytime running lights for many years. How that is handled in your year model I don't know, but it would have been included from the factory for those vehicles sold there. There are also aftermarket modules designed to do this if you cannot get an easy or cheap fix.

Guess I should have made that a little clearer. What I was meaning was lights on anytime vehicle is running (not just starting). Our previous Class A motorhome on a Ford F53 chassis had that feature. You never had to worry about turning on headlights, if you were driving, they were on.
Well, I'm not sure there is a hack for what you want, unless you E450 has DRL then you could probably tie into those so your headlights come on with the key. If you call your local dealer there may be an option inside the ECU to have the lights come on with the key., sorry no help I guess.
I have to apologize for giving bad advice, I didn't read well enough to see you wanted more than just the headlights. I don't believe Canada requires rear facing lights or any other marker lights, just headlights. It is for daytime running light purposes. With some wiring work, I am sure you can accomplish what you desire, but not with what I posted before. As an example, Subaru historically had their lights (all of them) wired such that they only come on when the key is on. One could leave the lights on, always, and they will always turn off when the vehicle is shut down and come on when on. You could have a very simple "fix" on your hands.
