We have a F350 dually with a 96” wide AF1150 (8’8” outside to outside of jack feet). This is fine for most situations but quite tight for twisty, narrow roads in the mountains.
Current Northstar Laredo SC is 81 inches wide without jacks. But we never travel with jacks. The electric jacks that came with our 2020 Laredo have been used 8 times (4 raises and 4 lowers) and dust away in the garage.
The camper is mostly on the F-350 full time.
Our former camper (1998 Lance 165-s) was 82 inches wide. During those hard core off road years, it was more important to have less wide than less tall. It still is, depending on how hard core you are.
If you never see dirt, go with the widest one for comfort (her'

Bro has a 2022- 10 foot ALASKAN and 2022 Ford F-350- 7.3 gasser similar to ours except with a LB. I believe it's 86 inches wide and about 2 feet less tall than our 10 foot 4 inch height to clear Laredo.
Just this week, Jeanie and I were planning another road trip with my brother John and Krys.
Destination: Glacier National Park in September.
After a bit of digging, we found the restrictions on traveling the "Going to the Sun Highway", a very scenic and legendary narrow road across the Park, have changed. We did this from east to west in 2003 with our Lance on our 2001 RAM Cummins HO TD. The ranger got out his tape measure and measured our rig. Then the restrictions were only on length of the rig. Our CTD/Lance rig was 21 feet, both now and then the standard.
This year they added a height restriction of 10 feet. Our Northstar Laredo/Ford combo is 21 feet long and 10 feet tall along the camper edge where they measure.
Bro's rig is about 8 1/2 feet tall in it's collapsed state but 24 feet long. So this is a no go for us doing the "Going to the Sun Highway".
This pic gives an idea of how narrow our Laredo actually is compared to the F-350.
Bro's ALASKAN when we picked it up at the factory.
