I want to install a custom dead pedal / footrest into my 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid to replace the stock dead pedal and I am wondering if anyone else has done this and it there are any tips you would give me?The stock dead pedal has carpet covering it and is a very shallow angle (see attached image), I would like to replace this with a larger dead pedal with a steeper angle with rubber traction. Something more like this Honda Accord dead pedal.
I'm wondering if it would be better to replace the current dead pedal or try installing a new custom dead pedal adjacent to the stock dead pedal?
Any thoughts or recommendations?
Thanks!
- Chris
