2000 ford f250 7.3 auto 2wd crewcab
truck was running good then in the middle of a downpour started running bad. So I pulled over and it cleared up almost like a sticking injector. Drove home fine. Pulled in the drive started missing real bad and shaking and died on me. Replaced the fuse box from signs of heavy corrosion, but same thing runs but runs like crap. If I try to scan it my truck will shut off and say no communication with ecm. Any help will be much appreciated thanks in advanced!!!
I believe there was some issues with CPS while running the wipers. As cheap as they are I’d start there. But I’d also recommend only purchasing a motorcraft part from a reputable source. Not eBay or Amazon.
Leaking windshield or cab lights have gotten into some fuse boxes I believe. But sounds like you’ve already addressed that.
Another time that comes to mind is the IDM. Those have been known to get water inside. It’s located behind the drivers side fender.

I had this happen to me in a rainstorm about a month after I bought my truck. Just started running like I lost a piston or something. Turned it off and on and it went away. a week later it happened again, and then it wanted to accelerate uncontrollably. Again, turned it off and back on and it went away. Ended up being the accelerator pedal. Throttle position sensor. Pulled it, cleaned it up, and my issues went away.
Luckily I found a couple threads on it before I shot the parts cannon at it.
