Is there a Re-learn procedure after replacing EGR?
Being told you need to match the new EGR replacement with the original EGR. Is Forscan capable of doing something like this or is this ford dealer software only? Only info. I can find on the interweb is EGR delete. Sounds like if you clean the original EGR you can re-install without issue.
Background, I had the truck at the dealer for 4 days to change the EGR, They blew me off didn't get it done in time to take the family away camping. Trying to decide to replace or go as is. Any help is appreciated.

Spray those exhaust crossover pipe studs with your favorite lubricant when the motor is hot. itll help them from snapping.
the cooler, no relearn.
I did find a procedure for the valve last year when I changed the valve on my work 16 truck.
don't remember it exactly but I believe it was only key cycles, been too long. Notes might still be on my desk but I am over 1,000 miles away from my desk.
If your going to replace the EGR Valve assembly to do it properly you need to have the PCM re learn the Full Open / Close of the new EGR valve - similar to that of Throttle bodies etc. So you might get lucky without updating the new EGR however to ensure its most efficient it sounds like you need an interface to do the re learn.
Starting to lean more towards cleaning the valve, to best do that you need to be able to have something to command the EGR to open / close so you can properly clean the valve. Does anyone know if Forscan can do this? I'm doubtful Forscan can do EGR relearn?
Thanks for the feedback.
