Many seem to like but there are few that live with the fear of the lifter going south. 🤔

I like it better than the 2011 6.2 and the 2006 V10 that I had before.

I'm with you on that. Both great engines but the 7.3 is much better with equal or better gas mileage.

The same people live with the fear of the 6.2 dropping a valve, and the cp4 on the 6.7 and the rear axle tube cracking, and ac going out and the hud unit slipping down and the gearshift indicator not aligned……

Traded in a 2020 Diesel to get mine, love it so far. Like anything else, may have problems may not. Just drive it, do the maintenance and enjoy it if that platform works for you.

I had a 2011 Lariat Sb CC 6.2L with 3.73 gears and now have the same truck except for a 7.3L 2022 Tremor with 4.30 gears. I will say the 7.3L with the ten-speed is a beast compared to the 6.2L with the 6-speed. They get almost identical gas mileage. The 7.3L has a much broader torque curve. It comes on sooner and pulls a lot harder.

I have a 2022 7.3L, truck runs and pulls my 10k travel trailer with ease. Currently at 10k miles.

2021 7.3L F350 CCSB 3.73 gears love it. Just about to tick over 10k miles. Pulls 8k TT easily. Hopefully will be upgrading to a 12k 5er in the next month.

Maximum numbers on the 7.3 are only about 10% more than the 6.2 but there is much better low rpm performance.

Most 6.2 were also hampered by the 6 speed. I'll bet that a 6.2 10 speed pulls real well.

We pull an 11K fifth wheel all over "the west" with no issues whatsoever.

Very happy with mine. 27K so for. Replaced a 2017 6.2 and there is a big difference between the two. I got a little better mpg's with the 6.2 but I certainly more power lower in the rpm in the 7.3. The 10spd is a big help as well and has been perfect in my opinion. I'm not too worried about the lifter cam issue but I do have a "lifetime" (as long as I own it) powertrain warranty that came with the truck from the dealer. Wasn't worried about the valve spring issue on the 6.2 until I lost one at 12K. haha.

I had 2011 and 2013 6.2 Lariat trucks, the 2023 7.3 is night and day more pleasant to drive because it makes enough torque below 4,000 RPM to accelerate and pass with ease.

Mileage is more or less the same between them.

2021 F250 CC 7.3 with 40k and 90% of the milage is towing a 7700 lb trailer.
Came from a 5.7 Hemi and the 7.3 is significantly stronger towing the same steep grades.

Have not had a single issue with the truck.
