Repairing seat

04 F250 Lariat gray leather driver seat is torn and the cushions need rebuilding or replacement. Does anyone know what the average cost to do the driver seat only and what the complete front should cost? It is the 40/20/40 seat. Also what is a good source to buy premade cover online that will not fall apart because they are made cheap? I am going to get some price frpm local shops to do it and would like an idea if there priced fair. I am aloso going to look at doing it myself.

Had driver's seat in my 2014 XLT done earlier this year at a good local body shop. Cushion well past its life and seat cover was ripping out at seam. Total just under $500 for parts & labor.

Went to a local guy and he quoted me 625. For the driver's seat, rebuild the foam and a new leather cover.I thought that sounded a little high. I was not sure. I'm gonna check with a few more shops.

The price is going to be highly dependent on the shop doing the work and your location. I might suggest looking at an upholstery shop that does furniture, they MAY be cheaper but I'm also not going to suggest that they will do a better job than a body shop.
