seat covers
ok i have a chance to get a cloth seat out of a truck my brother in law has, it is the 40/60/40 seat but for the middle it folds down but it is only a portion of it, it connects around it, i dont have a picture but i will try to get one
so if any of that made sense and someone knows what im talking about is there a seat cover that i could buy for that seat, i mean the seat is ripped but i would be getting the seat for free, or would it be easier to reupholester it?

The pic is of a bench seat with the fold down armrest. I think it is standard in the XLT. The other option is a 40/20/40. They are completely seperatre seats and the center seat folds down as an armrest.

Check NPD LMC JCW. Also I found a new set of mint condition OEM upholstery for that seat on ebay. I put it in my truck. I got it from a company that did custom conversion stuff back in the 90's and had it left over from when they put leather in a new truck.
What color do you need? Does the seat your getting have the removeable headrests like most of the trucks did, or is it a 96 up seat with solid headrests like the picture.
I actually have some opal gray upholstery for these type of seats that is in good shape except for some very minor wear on the driver side. I don't have the headrest upholstery though.

it has the removable headrests, i just picked that pic because it was the clsoest i found,
im just debating weither or not to take the time to look for a seat cover or try to make some custom upholestry

I just looked and NPD has upholstery for that type of seat with adjustable headrests in the front of their catalog. It looks like LMC only has it for the regular bench seats. You could also just talk to an upholstery shop about redoing it. If you do have it done make sure to rework the foam if it needs it.

Do you have a picture of the Saddleman covers in your truck?
I forgot about them. I heard good things about them a while back.
I agree that you get what you pay for. I don't know what the budget is or if you need a temporary fix for an ugly seat.

Actually i do not. They are in my closet. Since the truck is no longer a daily driver, just a weekend cruiser, i dont need them anymore. But being blue, there is not much of a demand for them

i have no problem savin up a bit of extra money and doin it that way, i would rather pay more for somethin good, im just sick of this vinyl bench without an armrest or anything lol

Whats wrong with the AC? I'd get that fixed. It must suck when is warm and raining.
As far as the seat goes you will love having the more comfotrable seat and the armrest.
My previous 95 was an XL and I swapped the seats in it back in the 90's
