start easy, warm up & die
1994 Ford f150- odometer 306,000- 5.0L radiator cowling marked 1996 as if replaced & map sensor conversion. Gasket leaks, but no smoke, knock, etc.
Purchased about year ago. From towed home to easy bump starter crank (like new). No transmission issues other than pan gasket & rear seal leak).
1. General all purpose tune up.
2. New front fuel pump (rear tank no run) & filter
3. New distributor (hand timed)
4. Coil, sensors, ecm, catalytic converter
5. New starter, battery, solenoid
6. Partial cleaned air intake gumout + 120 psi compressed air (not removed)
7. New air hose intake
8. New fuel pressure regulator
9. Ignition switch new
Initially after easy crank, then 10 minutes of driving, while on freeway it would stall at 60 mph. If I shut key off & then back on (with or without activate starter) it would reprime.
The generic ecm failed and just replaced. Truck stolen, messed up key switch set for replace.
Now the problem up to now runs worse than ever. Will start quick pull out of driveway go 50 feet and die. May try motorcraft ecm. No other theft damage from incident.
Please help before I start shopping for a grenade.
