Ok guys, just a little FYI. Maybe will help someone out.
Last year my 2002 f-350 7.3 was stolen and trashed. I lost about 5k going thru the insurance for a total out. It was stolen less than a year after I bought it.
so my wife found my dream truck in Oregon, and we flew out and picked up my 1999 f250 zf-6 truck.
The company I work for( HVAC contractor) gets ravelco devices in every vehicle in their fleet, which is about 100 vehicles. Our vehicle manager thinks they are the best.
so I had one put in(for 700$ ouch!) and the very same week I had it installed, a thief tried to steal my truck and was not able to. The ignition cylinder was destroyed, but the truck was still in my driveway.
Fast forward to yesterday, I just installed new 4” turbo back exhaust from riffraff and pho hydra chip. This morning, I come out to go to church, and yet again the revelco has prevented another theft attempt.
this time they broke my door lock and my cylinder, but hey, I still have my truck!
you can jump bypass all their spices pretty easily
Are you saying that the Ravelco can be bypassed easily?
Or;
are you saying that the OP can get the car started and going by bypassing the thieves work?
The installers that do the ones for our company (and my personal truck) do a really good job. Its a loom full of black unmarked wires that are meticulously spliced into multiple looms under the dash. All the work is re-loomed upon completion. Im sure i could bypass it if i had 2 weeks, a wiring manual for the truck and way more mechanical and electrical know-how than I currently possess.
But this Ravelco has kept the tweakers from stealing my second 7.3 twice now.
I realize that there is no 100% guaranteed theft proof devices. If they steal a large flat bed tow truck, i'd be out of luck. (if they knew how to operate it) But this device does exactly what i want it to. It makes it just hard enough that they give up.
LOL, Thieves broke into my wife's Saturn years ago, and left it alone when they realized it was a stick shift, but then they jumped over and stole my Jeep Cherokee LOLOL.

They would need a considerable amount of time to do so. If the installer was sloppy, yes they can, however, most of the installers are VERY meticulously and methodical so unless you have a lot of time, you're not going to bypass it.

I live in Newark, Ca. I literally live across the street from a local PD captain, and 4 houses down from a local PD sergeant.
Used to be a pretty safe neighborhood....

Here in Texas, we have more freedoms with guns than in your neck of the woods. To put it simply: "We don't dial 911" when someone trespasses or tries to steal our vehicle. I'll stop there but hope and pray thieves stay off your property.

Due to the semi-communistic nature of the state I live in, Ill say this and leave it alone: I'm with you
