2013 F350 Chassis Cab Fuel Tank Replacement
My 2013 F350 6.2L flatbed fuel tank was leaking. It’s an after-axle tank and, after draining the fuel, dropping the tank was straight-forward. I see where the tank was leaking, so all good there.
I was thinking finding a replacement tank would be easy, but I’m having trouble finding what tank I need. The one out of the truck looks like a 40-gallon tank that I see a lot of online. The part that’s throwing me is what distinguishes the fitment of each tank. Most listings don’t have the dimensions of the tanks their selling, only the model years they fit.
I did find a tank from a Ford parts seller online and their tank says it fits a 2012-2019 chassis cab. The problem with this tank is the seller is going to charge me $600 shipping from Northern Cali to Washington State. Other listings, on other sites, list what appears to be the identical tank that fit 2014-2016, or 2016 only, etc, etc. How many different chassis cab, after-axle fuel tanks can there be? My gut says the the ones I’m seeing will fit my truck, but I obviously want to be sure before ordering as all the ones I’m seeing in the after-axle options look identical, right down to all the shape lines, filler hose/vent tube hookups, fuel pump/sending unit mounting flange, etc, etc.
Also, attached are two pics of one of the tanks I see that look identical and seven pics of the old tank out of my truck. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
