1992 F350 460. I will spare you with the cussing and crying, but I was pulling a few parts and things started breaking. Trying to pull all the egr and smog stuff off to replace some hoses. The two hoses that go down to the cat are attached to the back of the head or valve cover?? Does anyone have an exploded diagram of the egr and smog system? The more stuff I take off, the more parts are breaking.

Well on a 1990 those two steel lines heading down to the cat are attached by the bell housing bolts in two places and one bolt in the back of the head. I won’t lie, those two lines suck to remove. About 3 feet of 1/2” drive extensions to get to the bell housing and wrench for the one on the head.
The steel lines to your cat are probably rusted on like mine; so I Sawsall them off. I then had to reach up and cut the two silicone hoses on the lines to get them out.
My cat had broken parts rattling inside; if it wasn’t for that I probably would not have touched those lines.
Been an I/M tester for years and years (retired from all that bull now)
We all breathe the same air
I hate EGR on hotrods too, but would never remove it from my daily driver
Oxides of Nitrogen are what cause photochemical smog
The EGR systems lower combustion temperature and lower the production of NOx (oxides of Nitrogen)
Do keep your EGR systems on your daily drivers
