So, the truck is pretty much done. But now that its done I'm looking at some things to change. One of those items is tires. I'm not overly pleased with the tires I bought currently 255 -70-15 rear and 235-60-15 - front. But I don't like the amount of space between either and the wheel wells. I'd like to fill in the gaps but uncertain how big a tire I can go. Some folks had told me to cut/heat coils and lower truck, or flip springs, but I really don't want to do that; I'd rather just get bigger tires. So any thoughts on how big I can go in front - and more importantly the back. I don't want them to be obnoxious but I'd like them to just give the truck a meaner/bigger look - if that makes sense.
Open to ideas any of you might have...and would love pics.
I think the tire size looks great. I believe it is your wheel design that makes the combination look anemic. That is a clean looking machine by the way!
Good evening Jim and I think the truck looks pretty sweet! I have had people say the same thing about Flop springs, cut coils and such. I would only do that is the vehicle is for racing and you were changing the geometry of the suspension!
255 is the tire width is 10 inch wide tire. +- a little.
70 is the aspect ratio or sidewall height is 7.03 inches or 29.06 inch height.
