Differences between 2016 and 2017 F450 C&C
I am looking at both a 2016 & 2017 F450.
It seems like Ford changed a fair bit starting 2017. Like the rear axle to the M300. Possibly the frame and updates to the 6.7l.
The 2016 already has a dump on it which I need. Better setup for me. But I’m really curious what I will be losing/gaining over the 2017.
Can anyone please help me?
I’m mostly concerned with frame, suspension and also engine.

The differences might no be the same for C&C vs pickup
The cp4 has a change to produce slightly more psi. The co4 cam has a coating to slow down wear.
the engine is basically the same from 2016 thru 2019
the fuel pump was moved into the fuel tank in 2017. A return line was added to secondary fuel filter in engine bay.
starting 2017 the pcm monitors fuel pressure for a lift pump drop …if the drop is detected…the engine shuts off. Drops can be cuased by filter issues, line or filter burst, or in tank pump fail. Shutting the engine off immoderately helps protect the cp4 from running dry.
