Nebraska's " We survived the worst of it!" March BS thread
Good morning all, happy Friday, and welcome to March! Well, it's only a matter of time now, the warm up is coming! Going to be really nice here this weekend, 70's both days, might actually get some body work done on the 67!
Good morning everyone! I, for one, am ready for a warm up and ready for it to say a consistent temperature. The drastic ups and downs probably caused over half the colds and flus I'd had this year.
In other news, I taught my two year old to follow my wife around the house, point at her, and shout "Naughty! Naughty! Naughty!". Good times!
Fantastic Friday and Merry March One Nebraska, Pat, Lee, Kenny, TC, Neil, Ken, George and all the crew stopping by.
Pat, I am with you on the soon to come warmup! 18 days and 11 hours officially!
Good morning all, welcome back from the weekend! It was gorgeous here all weekend, so, knocked a bunch of stuff off of the house list. Hoping I can have most of it done by the end of April, so I can focus on the truck when it gets warm!
Good morning 'Braska...Happy Soggy Saturday #2 here...definitely a Triple D Day. Sounds like MA Nature is taking good care of you...fast forward the weather please.
Good morning all! The weekend was very nice but also too dang windy. I took Friday off to head back to Lexington and close out my grandmothers safety deposit box since my dad and uncle chose not to do it when we were all in town. ( I held the only key still living in the state). Hit up Andersons self service yard in Kearney on the way home and got a minor jackpot for my youngest. She's wanted a "lid" as she calls it on our golf cart, and being a Parcar parts are scarce. Sitting in the yard there was a complete usable top, unobtanium exhaust system, motor and decent seat backs. The issue is I had my Buick and not one of the pickups. You can in fact fit a golf cart top in the back seat if you allow the corner to get smashed a little. I would have left the fiberglass top if it didn't fit as just having the factory supports was worth the price but I made it work. I also snagged a usable antenna for the 71. They have multiple rows of 50's-70's cars. Fairly picked over but there's a part or 2 here and there.
Sunday I hit up the Lincoln Swap meet early. Saw a couple YouTube/internet guys buying parts and at least 1 recording. I honestly didn't see much for parts. I did pickup a tach, no big score like the last swap meet. The rest of the day was working our Fire Departments spaghetti feed. My wife is an EMT and was required to be there all day. I just had to work 330-7 but between the swap meet and hustling all evening in the front of house I had nearly 20,000 steps. That's a lot of steps for a middle aged fat man. If anyone is close next year you should plan to come out. 67 years and it's some REALLY good spaghetti. They made 80ish roasters full of sauce and had 3-4 left. Usually they serve 700+ people. Literally the town triples in size
I did get the top and exhaust mounted on the golf cart Friday night as well as the shocks my oldest blew out last fall plus I added some overload springs.
Good Morning gents! No ran in the forecast today but possibly snow later in the week. We could use the rain. I saw a pivot running watering cover crops on my way home from work Monday. The way the fog was though I suspect a swampy or snow filled later half of March.
Machine shop called yesterday. My "good deal" heads need a rebuild I told them to finish the job. At least I started off with a nice clean set instead of the other hot garbage I have laying around.
