assuming it is a 2022 CP4 and if its pinned...will probally put a +55% kit in it.

there are two pistons in the cp4
the base of the piston has the roller bearing
there is a cam that pushes the roller bearing
most of the failures are becuase the piston rotated and put the bearing off axis so instead of rolling...the bearing scrapes the cam.
rumor says the 20+ cp4 are pinned....this means the piston has a pin on it side that prevents the piston from rotaing

Hey fritz, just wondering what you're cooking up now. What's your end game with this?

if the 2022 cp4 is pinned, will do a warren +55 kit for it. Then install it in my 2019.
after I do the
sulastic install
redue 4” rear blocks
redue track bar drop bracket
etc

Bosch must be giving Ford a SWEET deal to keep that contract alive on HPFPs. GM and Ram moved on, wisely. Ford is all Bosch has left. It's ridiculous. If mine blows, a CP4 WILL NOT go back into it.

Ram currently still uses a Bosch pump, but a version of the CP3 pump. Unfortunately this pump will not fit in the 6.7 PSD engine valley. So is Ram getting a sweet deal?

Yeah I figured you bought one to install it but why the extra fuel?

with my current setup…I quickly run out of high pressure . Seems to shoot to 27k then stop.
i think a stock 20+ cp4 is 30k. So that in itself with out the +55 kit would be a plus.

I have only heard rumor that the 2020+ CP4 is pinned, one source was S&S. With their experience I would expect that 2022 pump to be pinned. Obviously that was only one method of failure, the 2020+ pumps are still failing.

I can assure you that the CP4 came off of a 2022 F350 6.7 that was manufactured in December of 2022. If you want to believe that or not is up to you?
