C6 to np235 swap

Just want to check and see if I'm missing anything before I begin the swap. I have the transmission, I replaced its input shafts seal bearing and bearing race. I have : new rear main seal, new pilot bearing, new throughout bearing, new clutch, clutch save cylinder, clutch master cylinder, clutch line, trans to transfercase adapter, manual steering column, manual pedals, manual starter, manual 4x4 floor plate. Am i missing anything? I'm not sure if I need it, but I also have a manual cross member from a 2 wheel truck.

All Ford transfer cases have the same bolt pattern and shaft size and will bolt to all Ford 4x4 transmissions. No need for a adapter. If you happen to have a 2wd transmission, and are planning to bolt a 4x4 adapter on the back and then bolt it to your transfer case, that will not work.

The t18 t19 and np435 transmissions, have a tailshaft adapter that goes between the transmission and transfercase, to mount the tcase to the transmission. It's about 6 inches long and converts the trapezoidal flange on the transmission to the round flange on the transfercase.

If you have a 4x4 transmission, it should bolt right up to the transfer case. If you have a 4x4 transmission that is missing a piece, be careful, I have never heard of a separate piece flying around that needs to be sourced. If you have a 2wd transmission, forget it it, it will not bolt up no matter what adapter you have. You can convert a 2wd transmission to 4x4, but you have to tear the 2wd transmission completely down and install the correct parts, which among other things are a different output shaft and different housing on the tail.

Just tell me you have a 4x4 transmission and I will leave you alone.

You didn't mention it, but it's pretty obvious. You have the bellhousing to fit your engine? The 4 speed has a separate bellhousing, and it can fit most all different Ford engines, but you must have the proper bell to bolt to your type of engine family. The bellhousing should also have mounting for your slave, depending on what engine you have. I believe most 300, 302's have a concentric slave/throw out bearing, while most 351w/460 and diesels have the external slave which needs the mount cast into the bellhousing.

You will re-use your transfer case shifter. Hopefully this transition piece you are talking about which normally comes with the transmission, has the threaded holes for your transfer case shifter. Just take a glance and see if it does.

Here are some pictures.

In short what DaveF is saying is the 4x2 and 4x4 transmissions have different output shafts and why you cant use a 4x2 on a 4x4 set up or the other way around.
This also goes for auto transmissions too, output shafts are different between 4x2 & 4x4 transmissions.

The only thing I did not see if the firewall reinforce plate for the master.
If you mount the master to the firewall like the factory did over time the firewall will crack and the clutch will not work as it should.
This plat spreads the load out farther and keep the firewall from cracking.

Cool did you add the firewall plate as part of the install?
If not the firewall may crack down the road.

Check with Jeff's Bronco Grave Yard to see if he has them.
A FYI they came in 2 different sizes but think all you can get now is the smaller one?
