Perhaps take a different job to generate $ while looking for the job you really want.
Put a plow on the front of your truck and plow business lots and personal drives, the chebbies are going to need your help also, figure on about $45.00 for each truck you pull out and you should be alright. Good luck.
i wanted to put a plow on this truck, and almost did last year with my old truck. problem is, its hard to make up the $3,700 bucks that you spent on the plow. i think last year it only snowed 3 times....
bigrigfixer- i payed cash for the snowmobile, dont owe anything on it. id like to sell it and put the $ in the bank
cowboybilly- ive been looking at every option i can... prblem is i cant afford to drive an hour each way to work and back, to only make 10 bucks and hour. i know that sounds bad, but i have alot of business bills to pay, i need to TAKE HOME at least @$600 a week to cover them, and to put food on the table, and fuel in my truck if i have to drive that far to work and back... not many places are offering that much
thanks for the replies everyone, im always greatful for the advice
Just a thought, but could try the whole eBay thing for a couple of months. Know quite a few people that make a pretty decent living doing exactly that. Even more that do it just for some extra cash as a side job. Especially during the holiday season,, lots of people buying stuff. That's my $.02 and I'll be expecting a nickel in change
You say you've got a class a cdl, would you consider driving over the road for a while? if so there are litterally hundreds of companies looking for quality drivers.
There is a lot of companys that don't advertise cause they don't want a flood of people coming in for 1 or 2 openings.
Something that I was told when looking for a job is,
If you want a job the is 40 hours a week you go out 40 hours a week looking. But not just looking, go in to places and fill out applications, the more you fill out the better your chances are of getting a job. Remember you can always quite one and go to another that you may like better.
I know what you mean about the snow. It's about time. I got to go out and play in the expy, and play in my FWD car. In the snow that is.... I love winter!!!
You answered your own problem. If there is heavy snow, buy a 5 dollar shovel and make some money. Eventually you could purchase a blower and offer driveway and sidewalk maintenance like a lawn service does. Charge them 30 bucks to clear the drives and sidewalks. Then hire a couple of kids to do the manual labor for $7 /hr.
