I'm not afraid of guns, but of people who cannot use them properly. I own many firearms, and have been hunting for a few years, and that is about the extent of my use of them, with the exception of occasional target practice. I am 17, but I can handle, load, and fire guns safely.
(Other Bower here)
I agree with 351Bronco, people who use guns incorrectly or without respect, scare me. I grew up around guns of all descriptions. I just started using them regularly a few years ago when I started hunting.
Other things that scare me are the trigger-happy wackos in the woods who fire at anything that moves, sometimes repeatedly, and adults who don't teach their kids gun safety and respect for weapons.
People who fear guns and average citizens owning guns also do not understand that their freedom was paid for by thousands of people spilling their blood on the battle field and in the streets of this country. When guns are taken away there is nothing between freedom and the socialism that is being attempted by liberals and their cronies.
if the gun had never been invented
the internal combustion engine wouldn't have been invented
we wouldn't have Ford trucks to drive
and we wouldn't be typing on this forum

I'm stuck in the woods. I am hungry and alone. I do not know which way is out.
Is my gun providing a constructive purpose?
I live in an area where the nearest cop is *predictably* 10-15 minutes away. I have a wife and three kids. It is 2:AM. There is ~definitely~ somebody trying to break in my house.

Sinjin. I'm surprised at you - that was too easy. Are you OK? Jet lag? . . seriously - sorta - I'm concerned.
wrecking bars fulfill their purpose only in destruction, they are just another tool
not that I do, but if I used a rifle to feed my family, i would say that that was constructive
but I do see your point
kind of like Skynnard said
"handguns are made for killin
they ain't no good for nothin else
and if you like to drink corn whiskey
you might even shoot yourself"
still just a piece of steel till some idiot picks it up
