Aftermarket Intake Manifolds....
I'm hoping to get opinions/insights from the great folks in the Ford world. I have an intake manifold that has failed in my 2002 Excursion (XLT, 5.4L V8), and I need to know about which is the better of the aftermarket manufacturers. Now, before I get slayed for not going OEM, I TRIED to get the Ford part, but apparently this particular intake manifold part is currently listed as "do not sell", due to a design change, or something to that effect. I've tried at least 10 different Ford parts websites, even going as far as calling both my local dealership and an out of sate one. All say the same thing: they have the part but cannot sell. So, as you can see, I've been backed into a corner because this is the wife's vehicle and I need to get it fixed. I have a master mechanic friend that's going to help with the swap, I just need to get the part now that the weather has cooled off enough to work on it (FINALLY).
So, what I'm looking for here is opinion on which is the better of the aftermarket brands? Here's some that I've found:
1. Dorman
2. Brock Auto parts
3. Replacement
4. Auto Parts premium
5. SKP
6. API
7. DIY Solutions
8. TRQ
9. ERO
10. Autotecnica
11. ATP
Thanks again for your time! If there is one you know of that I didn't list, please let me know and let me know what experience you've had with them..
Thanks again!!!!! FORD RULES!
