I understand that you should be able to hear the fuel pump operating when the ignition is turned on. If that electrical connection was severed, would the fuel pump now not work?
I bought a used fire & emergency f-350 and it had a few devices that looked like maybe some communication device plugged in. The truck has sat in my garage for over 5 years and always started right up when ever I would try, but never driven.
I recently removed the added devices and severed the electrical wiring running to them. Now the truck won't start nor does the odometer light up.
the ignition sends the signal to the PCM which in turn tells the fuel pump to kick on and prime. So without wiring schematics I am going to assume that the power has been disconnected from the ignition when you removed the equipment. I can only suggest that maybe you strat re-installing the equipment and wiring one piece at a time until you regain power or maybe go on Ebay and buy an EVTM for your year truck and trace the ignition wires to their next points of connection.
