Rims and tires
Rims and tires
I'm about to get a new set of tires and wanted to look around at my choices. The truck is about to get a Blue/white two tone paint job, and I want it to look good. Images say a lot. Thx.
Are you only looking for tires, or also for wheels? I have a nice set of chrome wheels I pulled off of my '22 F250 a few days after I bought it. I have them listed in the marketplace on this site. The new cost for them from Ford is $6,320.00. I currently have them listed for only $3,500.00. That includes the chrome caps and the 32 fancy lug nuts! You won't find another set of wheels like this at this price. Yes, other people sell wheels that are eventually pulled off of trucks when they can afford to replace them with something else. The wheels I am selling are in new condition, and were only on my truck for a few days before I swapped them out for different wheels.

Title says rims and tires, thread says new tires.
Old school vintage hurricane turbine wheels (see 440 sixpack truck...I gotta find me some of them one day) and some all terrain/mud terrain tires.

Unfortunately I let these go with the truck
These Shelby wheels were on my truck when I bought it. They need to be cleaned up and have new tires put on em. I've never had a problem with rubbing when I drove it. Steering radius however was like driving a bobtail truck. A 3 point turn was more like a 10 point turn. I'm exaggerating a bit but that's what it seemed like when I drove it. Good luck finding a set of these wheels for sale. I'll never sell mine. You might find a set of replicas. That 440sixpack guy looks like he has a set on a couple of his trucks. He might be able to help you find a set. Or sell you his (doubt it). You can totally run this size tire on your truck though. For now I'm running these hummer wheels that are bigger than the Shelby wheels and they still seem to fit. You can probably find a decent set of H2 wheels pretty much anywhere. Maybe even in this forum. I paid $400 for mine with less than 1k miles on these tires. They were take offs. If you do go the H2 route, you'll definitely need to do a little grinding to fit em over the rear hubs.
Hurricanes are my favorite old school wheels. But your problem with those are with a 8x6.5 lug spacing and a size 16.5x9.75 wheel, you are extremely limited in tire selection. For some really crazy reason, nobody is remaking these wheels in 15", 16", or 17" sizes.
IMO, blue and white paint job will look good with old school wagon wheels.
