I just seen this beauty a little while ago in South Whittier CA. I have no idea what year it is. It happened to fast to ask. My guess would be somewhere in the 30's. It's funny how giddy you get when you see an old Ford. I love this color. Any FTE members in Whittier?
That pic, I think that is the corner of Telegraph and Mills/Florence. They are building on that corner. A Raising Cane's IIRC. I used to live on Telechron which is the next street east of that corner. My mom still lives a block over. We live near the Quad center now.

Welcome to the So Cal forum.
That's exactly where I took that pic. Back in the day I think that was a national lumber and a gas station on that corner. I live near Inez and Lakeland. We've been here for over 50 years. I went to telechron elementary, South Whittier Jr high, Cal high, pioneer, and frontierland. Here's what I'm working on. I haven't drove it in over 20 years. It's almost ready to drive. I'm working on it little by little. What are you working on? We couldn't possibly be the only two fte members in Whittier.

I'm pretty sure that was Angel's Lumber on that corner, until about 45-50 years ago. National Lumber was on La Mirada Blvd. About 60 years ago there was a Chevron station there on that corner. Angel's Lumber sat back a bit from the corner. Then there was a cable TV company there, and a Party City for a long time. Just next door to the west is the best pizza place in Whittier. We've both seen a lot of changes happen.
Angels lumber sounds about right and then all those other businesses afterwards. Pizzamania is the best without a doubt. I remember a lot of the changes around here. I mostly remember driving around with my dad in his 76 F250 passing the Sears, premier lanes, skate city, the stinch of the refineries, and going to the Winchell's directly next to the b of a at the entrance of the, I think it was, alpha beta just to name a few. RIP pops. It's fun getting in the way-back-machine every now in then. Cheers!
