I've never done a transmission swap before but I am tired of putting c6's in my truck. Looking for parts i'd need and a couple of things stumped me, I cannot find a flywheel for the 351m. from what i've heard the 351/400 use a 180 tooth flywheel, however the 180 teeth flywheels I have found are all marketed for the 460, will the 460 flywheel work? Also, my truck is a Lwb I believe 117" will the same driveshaft for the c6 work for the T18? looking around ive only found 1 driveshaft for the 2wd 117" wb trucks which leads me to believe they are at least the same length right?

It is actually 133” after a quick measurement so I don’t believe they’ll be the same shaft
Depending on the year and application, Manual transmissions can have different output shaft lengths. I have an early T18 in my '64 and it is short. A t18 that came with a '93 300, 6 cyl , I bought), has a longer output shaft and no mechanical speedometer output.
I friend told me this morning at breakfast he just traded one of his trucks, a '70 F-150 with a 302
for a '76 highboy with a 4-speed and he's going to convert it to an auto trans.
How many C6's have you gone through?? They are a pretty stout trannys. Even a slightly modified 351M/400 shouldn't hurt one in good condition and they can, relatively cheaply, be built to handle big HP/TQ.
