I lost juice to fuse # 20. Its not blown but has no power
My starter solenoid on firewall is not getting powerr to the skinny terminal all of a sudden. #20 fuse has no power ans isnt blown. Does the ignition switch send power to #20 or #20 send power to ignition switch?
I dont know if it clicks my hearing not the best. Engine light comes on .If i jump fender mounted relay with screwdriver it starts. Wheres pcm relay? Under hood?
i used test light and big red wire under column has juice only when key turned to cranking position
truck woulnt start if that pcm relay wasnt working?right its for computer?
Correct, PCM runs the show. We're just along for the ride. So an e99 auto w/ a no crank issue. Armed w/ this info I would ask will it start in neutral? Does the shifter feel sloppy at all? Have you checked the 2 screws in the end of the shift tube are tight? If it's not a loose shift tube then I would check the range selector plug down on the transmission. The connector is fairly exposed and easily get corroded and packed full of mud and crud. Even if it's not the culprit it's good preventive maintenance so you don't get bit later.
Column is tight surprisingly like new. Truck cranks but not by turning key. Wont turn over in neutral either. Power goes to #20 before range switch right? No sense in chrcking range sensor if no juice to #20???
Yes #20. Im getting juice out of big red off switch wire when i turn the key. Is there another that shouldbe getting juice? Ill take poc of the red wire when i get home
Still a little fuzzy this am. so I took a brief stroll down memory lane on a no crank trouble I had no too long ago. Maybe you'll find something useful, I'm going to find a Monster and try waking up.
