It is variable, depending on engine load and rpm.
You should have a C6 assuming it is stock. This transmission uses a vacuum modulator to adapt to engine load. If the vacuum signal is weak, not present or the modulator is damaged you will have late hard shifts.
The modulator can also be adjusted to alter the shift schedule to a small degree.
