22.5 swap from 9.0020's

When swapping to 9r 22.5's will I need new lug nuts or are these still bud wheels? They are still the 6 lug 6x 8.75's They look stud piloted.

What year is your F-600? The 1963 and 1964 F-600s, as well as B/C/N Series trucks, had hub piloted mountings. On them you’d need to switch to standard Budd right hand thread stud piloted fasteners on both sides of the truck if you are swapping to stud piloted tubeless 22.5s. Otherwise, if you now have a stud piloted mounting, the stock nuts will work on stud piloted 22.5s. I’m parsing my words here a bit because there were hub piloted 22.5s, but rarely do we hear of them. Stu

My truck is a 1982. I have no clue what year these 22.5's came from. I know I have left and right handed threads on my truck. Drivers sides have "L" on the nuts. The wheels I am buying have the beveled edges where it looks like the lugnuts would center the wheel on the stud.

If you have duals on the rear , you should have inner thimbles that go on with the first tire, then the lug nuts with the second tire. The thimbles will be stamped with an L or an R, depending on the side. Takes a special square socket to get them off and they break easily. Don't ask how I know, lol

thanks I got the correct sockets but my impact with 1400lbs breaking strength took 2 minutes to loosen 1 lug nut. It’s going to take a while. So besides the dump what’s a set of 2 piece rims worth?

Got fronts done. Waiting on wheel cylinder to do the rears. 22.5’s look good.
