8x6.5 to 8x170 hub swap?

Anyone on here swapped to 8x170? Would I have to swap the axles or is there anyway to just swap hubs? I really really don't want adapters but not sure I want to swap axles just for a different lug pattern.. Just curious to see if it can be done with just a hub swap?

Well we are talking about a $4000 plus set of wheels. Got a lead on deal for some american forces but they are 8x170 lug pattern.

Wow..OK.. There have been some out there things tried. long story short SD hubs don't go on. Redrill and pray or swap 05 and up axles in. That is the raiser imo
