2014 f550 6.7 lost oil filter!!!!!No crank

Ok hard to believe oil filter spun off and engine shut down filled it back up and she ran for 8 seconds then turned off! Sounded smooth no issues had approx 3 quarts left after situation.
replaced batteries and cranks but stopped. Any advice. No codes no crank now. I do t know how it could be seized now since it ran smoothly and shut itself off. My scanner is not the best. I thought disconnecting the batteries would reset computers???? Any suggestion???? I am thinking starter????

So, no crank, no turning over of the motor.

scan for codes is the next step after checking all fuses.

Have you tried turning the engine over by hand?

The crankshaft pulley. There should be four twelve point 17mm bolts on that pulley.

Clockwise when viewed from the front of the engine. That's the direction in which the engine spins when it's running.

[QUOTE=senix;20703177]verified oil level now? I think you indicated you filled it.[/QUOTE

yes, verified new oil added 13.5 quarts new filter. Went out last night rescanned codes and got

p0707
p0706
p0198
p0113
po100

please note I did remove air ox and disconnected mass air flow circuit so that is at least one of them. I did clear the codes and nothing regarding even a crank. I am in the middle of removing fan shroud to access the crankshaft pulley bolts to hand turn the engine.

p0707: Transmission Range Sensor "A" Circuit Low

p0706: Transmission Range Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance

P0198: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit High

P0113: Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High (Bank 1)

P0100: Mass or Volume Air Flow "A" Circuit

If it were me, I would check your intake and air filter, replace as needed. Check you wiring and such going to the tranny and move the gear selector a couple of times to ensure proper operation with the key in the on position but not cranking.

I would also verifiy good batteries (amps not volts) individually by load testing them.

Clear codes and try a restart assuming as above you were able to turn the motor over by hand.

It appears the engine seized up. I cannot turn the 18mm crank shaft bolts. I am unsure about torque but I am moving the bolt ie tightening not moving the pulley!

hard to believe as the engine ran smooth then Abruptly shut off… that was after the oil was put in…No crank ect. I have the serpentine belt connected did not take it off

sounds like it is toast. Maybe an insurance claim? Have it towed to Ford for determination.

You are turning the correct direction.

Did you use a 1/2 or 3/4 breaker bar to attempt to see if it would turn over.

Have to get some torque behind your arm, a simple wrench won't work.
