I have a 94 F150 5.0 4x4. The speedo worked on the cluster but all of the other gauges have been limp/ not working since I have owned it. I recently took the cluster out to clean the connections and put it back in and all hell has broke loose. Trans doesn’t shift, the fuel gauge shows 3/4, the odometer is flashing on and off, and now the alternator is no longer charging the battery. I watch the voltage drop insanely fast while hooked up to a meter and I have to hook up a jump box. Any suggestions? I know the connections are back on tight and tight on the cluster. What changed? Thanks
You must not have good electrical connections between the harness and printed circuit at multiple terminals. Whatever cleaner you used must be what made it worse. I’d take it apart and spray/ wipe the connections with electrical contact cleaner.
Check your grounds lugs. One near the driver's hood hinge, one near the passengers hood hinge. One behind the driver side head light. One behind the battery. And one behind the driver's and passengers kick panel plastic.
Check your fuses by the driver's knee and under the hood near the master cylinder.

I used electronics cleaner and a towel I let it dry before putting it back on but maybe some of the connections didn’t mare it in correctly. I didn’t know a cluster could reek so much havoc.
