Hey folks, I bought an old ‘60 f-250 4x4 and it came with an extra engine, which is a 332 y-block out of an f-700 wondering what it’s worth, anyone know? I don’t think it will fit in my truck, so I need to sell it unfortunately. Runs very strong!
If you can show that it runs, that would allow for a higher price.
I don't know what they are worth. It's not an in demand engine. The most likely buyer will be someone who needs it. I think a reasonable price, if it can be shown to be a runner, is somewhere in the $300 to $500 range. If you need it gone, price it to sell. If you can hold onto it, price it high and drop until it gets interest.
332 is a Lincoln based displacement so that would narrow your market further. It could be made to work in your '60 F250 but the bell housing and exhaust manifolds are a unique pattern to the engine.
I have a Lincoln 317 in my F100 and it's a good cruiser. I might be interested in the 332 if the price was right.
