I took a lot of time positioning my engine install, with particular attention to exhaust clearances with steering box, frame and starter. I knew it would be a tight fit using the stock headers.
A couple days ago I mocked up the exhaust pipes under the truck, from my original system.
I section cut the pipes just behind the mufflers yesterday and proceeded to try to shoehorn it into place, Nope, even with the headers and starter off.
Next I cut the pipes at the front where it levels off from the collector. I bolted that piece to the header, swapped cuts from passenger to driver side and could position it into place, going from the top. I bolted the headers, and it is just clearing the passenger side frame and starter. I had notched the frame on first mock up
I doubt that it could be installed as all one piece but it would work, if I used some sort of bolt up union from the front section onwards. From there I will deal with the elevation issues.
