I was driving my truck over a mountain pass towing a 7000 pound trailer, and noticed a severe loss and power. I was only able to generate about two On the boost gauge, and was topped out at 35 mph. I was able to drive it the additional hundred miles home truck seem to run fine when it was flat or downhill, but uphill killed it a major loss in power. I have four codes and I’m looking for input, don’t know if I should buy a new turbo or take it to a shop. Curious if anybody has any input. Codes are as follows:
P1249
P1247
P1248
P1211
truck is a 2000 F350 7.3 mostly stock with 180,000 on it.
I do have a six position tuner not sure the manufacturer of it, but I always tow it in the stock mode. Occasionally I will use the light tow or fuel economy mode when driving around town.
any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I will lay money on blowing the turbo boot... did that on my 02 Ex/7.3.. towing my toyhauler appx 10k#, I hit it hard going up the grapevine after a big rig pulled out in front of me then cut back right, lost boost, black smoke like a ****, I was like awww hell, the programmer blew something and I'm screwed, got up under the hood when we got home and couldn't see jack, finally got a mirror, underneath the turbo, the boot had come off, 10mm deepwell, loosen clamp, slide back on, tightened all the others and had been trouble free since.
The tuners build more boost and find the loose clamps.
Report back with whatcha find!

Have you changed or deleted the filter socks in the fuel tank? When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Does the fuel pump make gurgling sounds when you turn the key on for the wait to start light? I know most of those error codes are relative to turbo issues, but they can also be caused by fuel restriction, so I always start with the easy obvious things for diagnosis...surprised you didn't also get some transmission related error codes...
x2 on the turbo line boots. If you just ruptured one (not uncommon on an older truck) it'll cause this exact issue. Check them all and see what they look like.
I actually had one pop off on my '04 6.0 dually once. Scared the crap out of me while I was trying to get on the expressway - it was a clover-leaf entrance to an uphill grade with 42' of toy hauler behind me. BOOM and no boost. Got it on the side, popped the hood...saw it loose. Went to slip it on and found it was actually on BACKWARD. Put it on right, waited for a break in traffic, and put the hammer down, and hauled everything to 65 mph by the top of the hill.
