Does anyone know the pinout for this plug? It’s at the tail of the wiring harness. I’m trying to determine if I need to run more wires for a 7 pin round trailer plug.
That plug is to plug in a factory trailer harness
That harness used to come under the seat on trucks and vans that had trailer tow
I got lucky and found one for mine that had the trailer tow harness
Makes it real easy
OK this is the connector you have then.
This plug (connector) is for the tail lamps.
5 – Right Rear turn/stop
9 - Left Rear turn/stop
14 – Exterior Lamps (Marker)
140 – Back-up Lamps
57 – Ground
511 - Hi Mount Stop Lamp
206 – Trailer Ground
667 - Lamp relay to Marker Lamps
/
thank you. That looks right.

thank you. I’ll run extra lines for the power and brake controls. Then just cut the plug out and splice in a good plug harness.
Looks like connector at rear bumper for all the rear lighting. NOT for trailer stuff. Those are two separate connectors, grey and black, you would find there. One has three wires, other four.
I can snap you pics of my F350 as needed. Just let me know or text me.
What you can do with that connector is an inline adapter for a basic four pin trailer plug. Then run your other three forward for brake control and such.

mine has 3 plugs. One each for left/right and then this one.
Long story, but I lost the female end of the plug pictured in the first photo posted on this thread, and i am having a heck of a time trying to find the part number. The closest ive seen was PN: WPT-737, which shows as a remote start harness pigtail.
Does anyone know if this is correct or have a link to the plug i need?
Below is a photo of the male end of ene plug. This goes to my tail light harness. 1997 F350 4x4.
Ford used that 8 pin round connector on several vehicles in a few locations
I would hit the junkyard and get a EVTM if you need to
Probably the easiest is just to find a 97 truck in a junkyard and get the whole harness

And, for the OP and others, the 7-pin connector needs the Aux power and Brake single harness, which if you look closely at the picture above, you will see a hanging Orange and Blue wire, that is what is needed for the 7-pin plug for Aux and Electric Brakes, plus the light connections. If I remember correctly, the factory trailer 7-pin also has a separate brake/turn signal wires, because adding more lights, creates more load, and the stock tail light wires in truck can be overloaded. FYI.
