Need help with this cam and what should go with it

I couldn't send a DM yet so posting for all, the rundown is I can't leave my motor alone anymore after 10+years stock. My main goals are that I have a 86' carb head that's had the bowls and ports worked a bit, I just want to unrestrict the motor a bit and help it breathe, I have an x pipe and cold air setup. I have a standalone ECU (ECUmaster classic) and looking into my fuel pump options(leaning towards Edelbrock sump system with a low pressure pump (for future use years from now with a better carb bottom end/mechanical pump), I have some 17lb injectors to start with.

Besides installing this head I'd like to replace the cam and fiber gears but unsure the best combination for me, I only heard of steel and fiber but last time I thought I came across some different options. So with the 300 EFI long block and the ported carb head my research says compression ratio will drop a bit. I don't plan on a turbo at this time so I guess raising it back up would be best for performance, although I know the 300s like to knock to maybe just bring it up to near 8.6/8.7? Would that prevent any knocking while still managing a bit of power increase? Auto e4od trans 3.73 trakloc LS... My big goal though and hopefully I can contribute my findings back here is to make the motor rev as fast as possible (I realize bottom end is gonna be needed, but until then). Than attach it to a 6 speed auto and see what happens.... So eventual throttle body and other work will be needed but what springs and cam and rockers would achieve this? I was trying to avoid the scorpion 1.72 for as long as I can but probably just bite the bullet.

Which made me just realize Im gonna have to obviously measure the pushrod length and unsure about valves because last time I heard SI? valves stopped making the bigger ones, although that promaxx head has bigger valves so maybe someone has them...so if I can find them I'll have bigger valves seated.. Geeze sorry for the treasure map I laid out here.... Anyway I think that about covers it. Gonna just be Running map and batch firing for now if that matters but it'd be nice to do everything before I installed the ECU because of time restraints but would rather have the ECU hooked up at the same time.

Not a 300 guy, but i THINK the carb head is different enough that a fuel injection manifold doesnt bolt on to it.
Also 17 lb injectors are barely enough for stock use, you will need 24s at minimum i would think. ( always can tune down bigger ones)

No that motor might make 200hp at best so no need for bigger injectors than what the OP already has. Stock I6 injectors are 14lb/hr.
