So I currently have a Frame mounted Brake Pedal in my 1955 F-100. Ive been thinking about converting that to a Hanging Brake Pedal setup from CPP(I dont have the skills to fabricate one up, I saw Dreskis and it looks great). I searched around on the forum and see a bunch of posts raving about the hanging brake pedal, some old posts though.. Nothing is wrong with my current setup. Just looking to plan ahead in case anything happens, ease of working on brakes, vacuum line, moved/garage is smaller and its not as easy to crawl underneath my truck to look at things, etc, etc. Those Hanging Brake Pedal setups seem pretty slick.
I have a disk/drum setup. MCPV1 master cylinder. I dont remember the Booster I have.
I think they are cool and probably easier to operate for tall guys if they sit back closer to the firewall than the stock pedal. The only ‘watch out’ that I know of is clearance between the booster and your valve covers.

I use them all the time firewall mount power booster ties back in to dash-- the frame mount set-ups SUCK-- I am 6'-3" seat back have NO problems with pedal location-- make sure you put LOOPS in brake lines coming off proportioning block-- t

Loops are for the brake lines do not stress crack and brake coming out of valve-- your cab moves a lot more then you think -- I seen them brake with out loops--SAFETY

On my first 55 the P O had a 78 LTD front clip and kept the fire wall booster . The only thing I did not like is that I had a leaking valve cover (OH YA drivers side.) so I had to loosen the booster to get the cover off. Other wise no difference.
