Folks,
A weird thing happened last week. I rented a trailer, did my thing and returned it. Afterward the left blinker indicator on the dash went on fast mode so I thought maybe a bulb or the relay failed.. Nope all lights modes (brake, hazard, turn etc.) function normally and at the correct speed. I did a search at Rock Auto for a flasher relay but no joy. Any one have a fix?

Reason: duhhhhhh
The flash is controlled by the BCM so their isn't a separate flasher. I would double check to make sure all bulbs are flashing.
I just did a thorough check on all lights and everything is working. I compared both sides as well. There is a flasher noise from under the hood at the firewall on the passenger side and it's the correct speed. The only two things at the "fast speed" are the dash indicator and flasher noise.
Sometimes I hate computers because my OCD is fixated on the fact I can hear the rapid flasher but can't see the turn signal.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm not sure I can help much more, but when I installed LED light bulbs in the rear brake and turn signal, the dash indicator flashed fast but the bulbs flashed at the normal speed.

Thanks for trying to help. It looks as if I will just have to get use to the rapid flashing on the driver's side.

It started after renting a trailer, so maybe there's a loose connection on a wire harness. I'd disconnect the harnesses from the trailer plugs under the rear bumper and coat them with dielectric grease. Then check the harnesses up near the spare tire and do the same to them. Both have been known to cause weird electrical issues from water intrusion or loose connections. Some have reported issues when moisture got inside their rear lights too.

Is the truck showing No Trailer? Maybe try hooking another trailer up and see what happens. Cycle thru trailer settings to see if it changes.
I'm having exact same problem. 2017 XLT Powerstroke. Driver side. All bulbs flashing externally at correct interval - on/off. But in the cab the driver side indicator flashes at a fast pace. It was intermittent for several months. Now it's all the time. My case is not related to any recent trailer hook up. I'm at the point to where I'm just going to replace all the turn signal bulbs. If anyone has a better idea - would be much appreciated. Thx
