So I just joined the family with a new to me 2018 F-250 Limited. LOVE the truck! Moved from a 2016 F-150 Eco to the 6.7. Amazing truck!
My issue is that the previous owner had a chain tie down installed in one of the pucks on the 5th wheel prep. He apparently never removed it. It will freely rotate and the pin will wiggle back and forth. However, I cannot pull the locking pin up and out of it! I have tried a pry bar some PB blaster, and I even had a piece of angle iron that i drilled a hole in and welded a 90 degree angle to so I put the pin through the hole and then took a sledge to the angle hitting it upwards to try and hit the pin up and out. NO LUCK! I cannot get this pin out.
Any thoughts other than taking my angle grinder to it and cutting the thing into pieces?
Thanks fellas!
Figured it out! Some idiot prior to me attempted to rotate the chain mount with a sledge! The bottom pin was so bent there was no way it could have come up and out!
