I just ordered my F350 CCSB XLT. I got the 7.3 with the FX4, BAP, UTT, 11300# GVWR package. I have a few questions that hopefully someone may be able to help with.
I asked the dealer about the camera set up, but didn't ask if I had to use the Ford camera for my camper, or if I can use the aftermarket Furion camera. I don't have the camera set up on my camper yet, but it has the Furion prep on it. I know it has the ability to have side view cameras in the side markers of the camper, but I don't know if they will work with the UTT or not. Does the UTT allow you to add the TPMS sensors in the camper to view in the truck?
With the UTT set up, does that still get the 8" screen in the XLT or does it jump up to the larger screen? The pictures on the build and price show the larger screen.
Since I ordered this truck to replace my current F150, is there a way to tell if I am getting the 2.5" receiver or the 3" receiver? I just need to get one of the spacers so I can still utilize the current load leveling hitch I have.
What is the height from the top of the running boards to the floor of the cab? How about from the top of the running board to the ground? I am looking at getting either the Amp steps (if they will be getting them for the 22) or the Rolling Big Power steps. The Rolling Big Power steps look like they may work better as they don't plug into the OBD port. They are also not as pricey as the Amp steps. I am just wondering if I should get the standard ones or the extended ones. I have some knee and hip issues and want an easier entry into the truck.
Thanks for the help. I keep finding new items to add to my aftermarket list on this site.
The "aux" camera that would be installed on the back of a camper is WIRED (not wireless) only. It is possible to wire up an aftermarket cam rather than using the Ford branded camera, but it would require wiring the composite signal into the UTT plug on the back of the truck.
I am in the same boat. I have the wireless Furrion camera system on my camper and would like to display the camera picture on the Sync screen rather than the small 4" Furrion screen.
The problem I am running into is the Furrion system uses a proprietary signal between the cam and the receiver screen.
With the UTT set up, does that still get the 8" screen in the XLT or does it jump up to the larger screen? The pictures on the build and price show the larger screen.
I have a 2022 XLT and can confirm you get the 8" screen.
I like the idea of the camper mounted side cameras, I think that would be much better than the mirror mounted ones. I don't have the UTT on my order, but would love to have the side cameras on my camper with a way o put it on the screen and not have to have a second screen.
