Have no fear Spring is here in the Mountain State, so let the BS fly!
The month of March wasn't a bad month in My woods weather wise. Spring rolled in and from here on it should be warming up. Many of the trees and flowers are turning green and/or starting to bud.
May everyone have a great start to the new month!
I see blue sky and some puffy white clouds. supposed to be cooler than yesterday, but dry.
Did a lot of coughing last night as that stuff breaks up and moves about. Feeling much better this morning. Thinking about postponing that INR lab tomorrow. Hate to go in there coughing/sneezing, etc. and scare somebody behind a desk or in the waiting room by making them think somebody sick is at the doctor's office. They're still making everyone wear paper masks, camo masks, any kind of mask. Hard to blow your nose (without making a mess
) without taking the mask off.Have a great day.
Jim, Call the Dr office and tell them what is going on and they may make some special arrangements to get it checked!
Bud strangely enough after 73° yesterday and nice warm sun, this morning we had a little sprinkle, some white flakes fall and now the sun is out at 40°!!

Welcome to the Mountain State Pat and how goes the turbine teardown?
I make a trip out and make buy an EGO battery lawnmower.
Sort of a windy balmy day here. I just sat around in the house reading and surfing the internet till I little bit ago when I went out to clip big Duke's dew claws. Felt good sitting in the sun on the shed porch and petting dogs.
Man, that cat (little female) hates for you to sneeze. I open my mouth, suck that air in and she start complaining. A little grumbling noise and if you don't take immediate action and muffle it she's up and gone. Never had a cat that complains about you sneezing before.
It's about supper time and I'm sort of feeling hungry.
Have a good evening and great weekend.

The weekend is here.
Feeling much better this morning. So far (since I got up in the middle of the night for sneezing/coughing) the second half of that time has been pretty good. Just can't see trying to stay in bed while getting woke up every little bit and waking my wife up, too. Every time I'd feel like I was going to cough I'd take a big drink of ice water (went through two big glasses of it). Now I'm just sleepy. But it's a Saturday and I'm retired, so nap times are easy to take advantage of .
Have a great day guys.
Gonna be an absolutely splendiferous day here...hope it is in your little slice of heaven as well. Jim...glad to hear you're feeling better...not much you can do about a cold...just treat the symptoms.
Steve, Ma Nature played her April Fools trick yesterday with White sheet falling a couple a times despite 48° and what seemed to be a fair amount of sun. Today is starting off cold at 24° but will reach 50° and mostly sunny.
Ken I plan to have a good day in your woods and hope Ma Nature is good to you.
Jim Sorry you are still feeling under the weather but this to will pass. Hope you have a beautiful sunny day and can sit out with the kids and soak up some Vitamin D!
Denny I am on my way for coffee!
Still cold and dark but supposed to be pretty nice by afternoon. Gonna visit the dogs a couple times today. Didn't go out there yesterday. Today I'll sneak out before my wife knows it. It's like work sometimes, easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission (or something like that.)
I was talking to mom a little bit yesterday evening. She said the long range forecast for home is snow again next weekend. Probably not much this late in the year, but I guess they'll find out.
Saw a neat April Fools Day video on the Bimmerfest Forum yesterday. An explanation for why it costs so much money to get and oil change at a BMW dealership. They removed the hood, disconnected the engine electronics/fuel/exhaust/cooling and unbolted it from the transmission and pulled the engine out. Then the put the engine on a stand, turned it upside down and removed the oil fill plug to drain the oil when they removed the oil "vent" plug on the oil pan. Once the oil was drained they reinstalled the oil "vent" plug on the oil pan, turned the engine over and reinstalled it in the engine compartment. If you watch the whole video you see the "bloopers" where the guy who was explaining the details can't keep a straight face and starts grinning/laughing that had to be edited out/reshot. Crazy but also funny when you wonder why oil changes can be a couple hundred dollars or more. I know the two gaskets I replaced the other day on the oil cooler housing and oil filter housing (I did other stuff, too, but the immediate reason for the work was the leaking gaskets/seals) is said to be a $900 plus job at a dealership.
My youngest son thought it was pretty funny (he's had a sense of humor since he was 3 or 4 years old). My oldest son wanted to know if it was a serious video or a joke of some kind (never heard him laugh till he was in his 30's and stuff he thinks is funny is kind of hard for me to understand sometimes).
Have a great day guys.
