Hi everybody
I am rebuiding a 1938 warner T8 for my 1 ton truck . Now i seem to be missing the the reverse lock-out rod BB 7212 witch is running along the shift lever also the trigger BB 7215 A and the special nut BB 7217.
Anybody out there have those items or Can help me to find them, You would make me very Happy . Mac Van Pelt doesn,t have them.
Greetings Hans Bosman
I have never seen these for sale separately. I suspect you will need to find someone with a parts (or junk) prewar crashbox and get the shifter parts from them. Years ago I gave the shifter parts from my 37 junker trans to a neighbor with a Model A pickup with the four speed. Someone on here may have something for you, but we need to know what area you are in. Also try the Ford Barn.
thanks Fred
If i could find someone with good pictures and measurements i am able to make it myself.
I live in the Netherlands bud use a Texas shipping address.
If you can't find the parts, or a template to make them from, see if you can find a later trans to rob the whole top shifter from. These transmissions were used through 1952, at least in the USA, and the complete shifter will swap. Instead of the lever (which is kinda fun), the later transmissions had you push down towards the floor, then move over to select reverse.
