EAT-8594-B 239 Y Block
I dropped my thermostat housing for my 1954 Ford F-100 with a 239 Y Block. The truck is completely original. Does anyone have or know where I can find a housing with casting number EAT-8594-B?
Thanks,
Jon
I looked in my 48-55 parts manual and the water outlet for a 54 239 (& 256 ) is an EAT-8592-B
I seem to remember that other Y-block water outlets might fit. Or if you cannot make that happen, other 2-bbl manifolds might fit too.
If you cannot find one, you could possibly braze or weld (nickel rod) the broken one back together, then find someone with a mill or very carefully sand the flange back flat using a fixed belt sander.
There's a few "239-guys" on here that'll probably chime in and someone might have one.
Are you absolutely sure you have a 239 in the truck?
Happy New Year!
Rick

Thanks Rick,
The casting number on the thermostat housing is EAT-8594-B. Take a look at the attached photo. If anybody knows where I could find one, I would be most appreciative! I just got the engine back in the frame and wanting to fire it up after a rebuild.

here's one on eBay that the seller's claiming will fit and you can probably also use the one below from John Mummert.
the one on the right is for trucks HOME PAGE (scroll down for the part numbers and link to price and ordering info etc...)
Maybe one of the other 239 guys will see this and chime in here. I haven't had a 239 in a long time and the one that I did have, had a much newer intake manifold on it.
