Hi!
My name is Dan and I have been a member of FTE for a few years, roaming mainly with the 67 - 72 forum, as well as the FE pages. I'm 74 years old, living outside of Harrisburg, in the Colonial Park area. Retired military after 26 years of total service and a loyal Ford owner since the '60's.
I've sent 2 PM's regarding membership in the PA Chapter and I realize people are busy these days, even us old retired people, so I'll wait patiently until someone notices that I have my hand up, waving!!
Have a great Thanksgiving enjoy the time with family and friends.
Good morning Dan. Welcome to FTE. Things can get a little busy, especially around this time of year. But, I'm sure there was noting intentional about the delay and liftnw8z, (Bill), will catch up as soon as he can.
Have you clicked on the "Join Chapter" link, near the top of this page? It's in light blue, right beside the heavy black, "Pennsylvania Chapter". I know I have missed it many times and I'm supposed to look there!
Thanks for the reply "pbsdaddy"! I've tried under both, UserCP and under Pennsylvania Chapter its self. The join chapter link takes me to all the states in alphabetical order. Pennsylvania is not listed. There is a lower block for Pennsylvania, but nothing there about joining.
I may be missing something, but even at my age I don't think it's the case. But I've been wrong before!!
Go into the monthly thread. Scroll up, from the bottom until you see Bill's log in, (Liftnw8z). In his signature, you'll see a link on how to join the Pa chapter. If you haven't already, try there.
I already approved your chapter membership, which is why PA is probably not listed for you. Welcome to the chapter. I apologize that I don't do welcome threads and all that but, as you noted, time and stuff. I just took a "sort of" promotion at my job too, which doesn't help me much...lol.
Thanks Bill,
That would explain why the PA block was only if I wanted to leave the chapter!! I see you're from Johnstown. We used to go there late in the evenings to practice blacked out landings. The tower would turn off all the airport lighting including runway and taxiways. Great place to practice!!
Thanks again for allowing me to be a member of the chapter.
Dan
