I have a nice running flathead V8 that I want to list for sale locally, and I have no idea what they're worth. I know prices will vary quite a bit by region, and I am in Canada, but still I just need some advice on where to start with it.
It's a 1952 239 Flathead V8.
Has an Offenhauser 4bbl intake with an adapter plate and a Holley 2300 2bbl carb.
Has headers, brand unknown.
12v GM style alternator.
Original points distributor and New starter.
Comes with T5 trans from a 1987 Chevy S10
New ring gear and flywheel recently surfaced.
New clutch and release bearing (Clutch currently has a shudder when pulling away from a stop).
The engine runs quite well. It starts instantly, runs smooth, and doesn't smoke. Temp stays solid at 160.
I honestly have no idea what this stuff is worth, and I don't see anything else locally to even compare to. $200 or $2000, I really don't know.
