Can You delete yet keep it close to stock

So my buddy has a 13 6.7 and it's throwing emissions errors. I told him I'd help him delete it but he doesn't want it to stink. Is there a way to delete the dpf and Def yet have it not stink? He used to always give me a ration of crap about my 08 Duramax that was deleted so he thinks all of deleted diesels are like that.

Also what is the best custom tuner in that year? When I had a 6.0, the best tuner was SCT. Is that true in 13 as well? I would want him to get a custom tuner and not a canned one.

No. But then again that depends on your definition of stink. I really didn't like the smell of (what I think was) the DEF fluid in the exhaust.

Ha! It sure can smell odd. My brother's Snap-On truck is a Freightliner. The exhaust smells like B.O. I thought it was him at first.

Yes, you can have a deleted stock power 6.7 that tunes out the missing emissions components and does not add power. As to it smelling like a non-deleted truck, not going to happen. It will smell like an old school 7.3 or 6.0 that has no DPF or DEF components on them. But it does depend on what his definition of stink is.
