I recently acquired a nice F100 with delightful Texas patina on its 2 tones original paint.
I replaced almost all braking system and did a few maintenance to make it safe and roadworthy.
While getting it out of the garage, passenger side wheel hardly spinned, i thought it was only air remaining in the brake lines...
In fact:
A lack of grease destroyed outer bearing that friction-welded itself on the spindle.
As such donor are not so common in Europe, we tried to fix it but this steel hardly takes weld overlay.
Now i have to find a used part in the US, do you have a trustable company/person to suggest ?
I browsed salvage search engines, but am a bit scared by numerous users reviews, complaining about scams.
Try a search on this site. Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market I looked and there are plenty of them listed. You will just have to find someone that will ship international. I think one of those will fit in a large flat rate box.
