Just ordered a 21 Bonco Sport Outer Banks, would have loved to test drive one first, but dealer lots are empty. Hoping I'm not disappointed with the 1.5, I dont need a rocket, just good daily transportation! We'll see how long it takes to get it.
Congrats, Miles. Did they give you any kind of time frame on delivery? I'm also curious about the 1.5. Based on horsepower and torque numbers, it should be a solid performer and good on gas.
The good news is - since the Bronco Sport is 80% Escape it should be a well vetted vehicle. I would not expect owners to have many teething problems that normally seem to accompany new designs.
Our local dealer had a demonstrator on the lot for a few days. Went back to drive it but it was gone. Too late. I did drive an Escape with the same drivetrain to get an idea of how peppy the 1,5 was. I was not disappointed at all. We may order a Bronco Sport yet, but maybe we should not wait to long, as the 2022's may have a higher price.
Have the Big Bend with a few extras, so far not disappointed with 1.5. and we have always had 6, 8, and 10 cylinders vehicles. The Bronco Sport replaced a 6 cylinder Honda Pilot and it handles and responds way better on the mountain roads.
Started the process in February 2021, finally found a dealer to take the order in March, and the delivery date was scheduled for May. The date was pushed, the car was built in mid-July and delivered 2 weeks later to our house in August. The Sales Person was great, kept in touch every few weeks. Going on an out-of-state road trip next week will post an update to the forum.

Looks like we're kind of in the same boat Miles! I've got a 2019 F-450 that I tow our 5th wheel camper with and we just traded in my wife's 2012 Ford Fusion for a 2021 Bronco Sport (but it's a Big Bend version) - picking it up on Tuesday!
