Hello!
I am looking to paint a few items on my 64 F 100 that is Factory Academy Blue. Is there any off the shelf paint that’s very close to this color?
I see there are suppliers on eBay that will custom mix a can, but will that really match faded and worn factory paint? Plus it’s expensive and a wait time. I came across Ace Hardware Rust Stop and they say it can be tinted any color.
If you visit your local auto paint supplier, they should be able to mix up a batch for you with minimal expense.
I was hoping to buy a can of spray paint that was very close to the original Academy Blue. When I lifted up the factory vinyl floor mat to reveal the metal floor, it’s a different shade the the areas exposed to a lifetime of sun.

They can mix the paint to match, not an issue and they can also load it in a spray can for you.
Think rat rod, old, worn out beat up look......
I came across this eBay seller. They state that there paint is for professional use only, no reducer and hardner included.
Since I don’t even have a clue what that even means, my question is this..... can I roll, yes roll this on then sand most of it off?
will it even dry as bought? What’s the difference between this and rust o leum a lot of people use? The rust o leum is limited to
only a few basic colors....
