Gasoline fuel transfer recall DIY since expired
I replaced the rear tank with a new one when I installed a flatbed. The front tank is original.
I understand my truck and many like it were recalled due to bad check valves in the fuel pump.
I believe the fuel pump in the rear tank is bad since when I use the front tank . The rear tank over flows .
I was wondering if any of you had any experience using spectra fdm part number SP2007H
also I'm wondering if my truck has a reservoir assembly part number F1UZ-9B263-B because I cant locate it .
I just wonder how it would return fuel back to the tank if I didn't have the valve .
I seem to be getting along ok with just using the rear tank no leaks and the front stays at the same level according to the gauge.
over the years my truck has been seemingly gutless and I'm wondering if fixing the fuel pump would wake it up. I partially blame it on going with 33 inch tires from 29s with 4.10 gear set
The Fuel Delivery Assembly) consists of the fuel pump and a reservoir attached to the pump and sender assembly. In the event of a two tank system there is one assembly per tank. The sender assembly handles the switching of the fuel through internal valves. The fuel pump is capable of pumping in excess of 125 liters (33 gallons) of fuel per hour at a working pressure of 270 kPa (39.2 psi). These pumps also have internal pressure relief, discharge check valves and fuel return provision.
