The PA Chapter's "Dubious Annivesaries" March 2021 Chat and B/S Thread
Hard to say for sure, but spring might be on its way. Most of the snow we've gotten is now gone - I went from not knowing where to stack it to seeing grass in the yard, so the few days of warm up and rain definitely made it go away fast. I'm hoping it's mostly gone for good, but March is also famous for hitting us with big snow. In my college years, I remember getting a 22" deep storm (probably 1992, I know dad was gone by then) during spring break week in the middle of March. So, can't say for sure we're out of the woods with that whole thing. I just need some nice weather to get some OBS stuff done, since it doesn't fit in the garage well.
I think that's all I got. You know what to do, so, do it.

Bill i know how you feel on the office thing. feb was 1 year for me and i recently got an email saying we can now expense certain home office furnishings. so i don't expect to be back in the office for awhile.
Made an impromptu decision to start hitting the gym again. It's been awhile. 3 miles felt like a lot more than it used to and I can already feel my left ham tightening into a banjo string. I guess I'll have to restart my yoga practice as well....
Got the roster for my spring travel team yesterday. It looks like I'm going to have an okay team to start with. We'll see what I can build them into before the Edinboro tournament in June, which actually looks like it's going to happen, so that's a good thing.
My meeting in Cincinnati got postponed for Friday, so no travel for me this week. Unfortunately, my Texas trip for next week is still on despite my daughter starting back at school four days a week. My oldest returns to four days on the 22nd. I don't think we will see them back full time (5 days/wk) this school year.
Speaking of my son, we closed the deal on the Jeep on Saturday. I got a CEL as I drove it to the shop for new tires and an inspection, so we'll see what they dig up....

Travis, they gave us an extremely short list of things we can expense while working out of the house...so short it may as well be nothing. I can understand it from the perspective of people trying to expense things they planned to buy for themselves anyhow and get the company to pay for it, which in turn makes it a bit of a ripoff against the company, but there should be more latitude than what they gave as well.
Jason, you're not wrong on the old adage of "in like a lion, out like a lamb." I can assure you we'll get whacked at least one more time before it's all over with. Hopefully nothing too serious with the Jeep.
I'm working on adjusting my schedule to go to the gym before I start the work day...trying to buy myself more hours in the day this way. Seems when I go after work, I don't do anything else when I get back....which is a problem right now.

I got the laundry list for the Jeep:
- First, clean body & frame - no rust of consequence
- 4 new tires
- The CEL is for the four O2 sensors & the large evap - common problems & easy fixes
- Left front U-joint
- Left rear axle seal
- Oil pan gasket leaks
- PA Emissions & Inspection
Once we get it home, my oldest gets to detail it inside & out. It looks like the previous owner's three dogs lived inside of it. Pictures will be available by the end of the week!
